The Vienna-based guitarist, composer and sound artist was born 1985 in Klagenfurt (Austria). He studied at the Vienna Music Institute (with Andy Manndorff and Peter Rom, among others) and graduated with distinction in 2009. Since then he has participated in music projects (e.g. iris electrum) and intensively pursued interdisciplinary approaches: as member of the artist collective Das graue B, he regularly co-develops audiovisual installations (e.g. how to dance with a machine/Vienna Art Week). He also composes soundtracks for dance pieces (e.g. AUSstellenENTstellen/Tanzquartier - centre for contemporary dance, Vienna), movies (e.g. for the multiple award-winning feature film Reflections of Maya Rose) and lately for computer games.
In April 2015, Wedenig’s first solo album stadt | land | fuzz (KETO Recordings) was released.
